Rachael Schroeder is a singer, songwriter, producer and audio engineer based out of Vancouver, BC. Her interest in music began at a young age singing along to Queen and Ella Fitzgerald. She began vocal coaching with Brian Farrell (Paul Brandt, Kiesza, Lindsay Ell) at the age of nine and has been honing her vocal technique and songwriting craft ever since. Music has always been an outlet for her to express emotions and strive for precision and perfection (today she is a happily recovering perfectionist). Her songs express fearless truths with clear melodies layered with luscious harmonies, driven by her smoky yet powerful vocals. Rachael’s synesthesia (perceiving music and sound as colour) allows her to paint her songs with a distinctive musical palette.

At the age of fourteen, Rachael recorded her first EP, Warrior Paint, with producer Winston Hauschild (Hannah Georgas, Bodhi Jones, Wanting Qu) which sparked her interest in sound engineering and music production. After graduating from high school, she attended Nimbus School of Recording & Media studying sound engineering, music production, and music business. She is currently taking the Artist Development Program at Nimbus, mentored by Dave Genn (54•40, Matthew Good Band, Hedley).

Rachael is currently a freelance session vocalist, writer, and vocal producer for electronic producers as well as a promotions assistant at a live music venue in downtown Vancouver. Rachael is playing shows around Vancouver and will be releasing her next EP in 2018.
